Our Rubero 400×200 Spanish slate is black in colour, presents small pyrite inclusions, and offers excellent value for money. The quarry that produced these slate is no longer operational, and therefore, these slates do not come with your typical slate guarantee. The Rubero 400×200 slate is vertically grained and available in 2 thicknesses (4mm & 6mm). Please call us for more information on batten gauges. The Rubero rock is identical to our very own La Bana Ultra 500×250 Spanish Slate.

400×200 Spanish slate is typically used in France and Belgium as its compact size is more accommodating for complex architecture. Conical spires, for example, will require 400×200 slates towards the top of the spire, something we see often in European design, even in contemporary, modern builds. With that being said, you will often find 400×200 slates in British design and build, typically on roofs that consist of mixed sizes.
